Who are we?
Gosport Road Runners is a friendly club of about 170 people who run from Alverstoke Tennis Club. You can find more info about joining and the club on this site. We meet twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm, and there are nearly always unofficial groups of runners out at the weekends or a race to go to and we're renowned for the support we give each other.

Gosport Half Marathon 2008 Entry Form
Entry for the Gosport Half Marathon 2008 is now open and the form is available in the above link and from the Half Marathon page.
Online entry is available via Runners World from www.runnersworld.co.uk/gosport.
Website and newsletter update
As you can see from above the half marathon entry is now open. I have recently moved home which has left me without internet access at home and my computer isn't set up yet which has meant that last month's newsletter hasn't gone out yet. Hopefully I'll put it together this weekend and get it out on Monday.
Alton 10 Mile HRRL - Sun 11th May
The Alton 10 is on the 11th of May and it is both a Hampshire Road Race League race and also the club ten mile championship race so it's well worth the effort to enter.

Gosport Half Marathon 2008
The Half Marathon will be taking place at 10am on Sunday 16th November. Venue: Bay House School, 18 Gomer Lane, Alverstoke, Gosport, PO12 2QP. Entry Form and further details should be available on website during May.
Totton 10k HRRL - Sun 6th April
We're stuggling a little with the task of staying in the first division of the Hampshire Road Race League so every entry into the last few HRRL races is important. The club captain, Baz, has put some entry forms in the black race entry folder that is available on club nights.

Meon Valley Plod (21.2 miles)
Congratualtions to Cheryl, Daniel, Sarette, Mike, and Caroline for completing the Meon Valley Plod today. Thanks go Steve and Sylvia for supporting by turning up at many different points on the route, I know from experience how much of a help that is.
Update
The latest newsletter is out and should be in your inboxes - another 19 pages of full colour running news. I've tweaked the front page of the website so we now have a list of races and the forms for them in the top right hand corner of your screen. The member's forum system seems to be working well - sign-up if you haven't already.
Eastleigh 10km
Baz informs me that the Eastleigh 10km is nearly full and they think the limit of 1800 will be reached this weekend 25th/26th January. So you need to enter using the entry form on the website.
Update
Couple of things. Firstly the December newsletter is out and you should have received it via email. If not you can get it via the member's area if you remember the username and password from last months newsletter.
Also I've put some photos up on the website from the half marathon and from the QE Park cross-country race.

Bramley 20 Has Been Cancelled
The Hampshire Road Race League race, the Bramley 20, has been cancelled. This is due to road works.

Hundred Marathon Hugh!
Congratulations to Hugh Pritchard who completed his 100th marathon on Sunday in the New Forest. Thanks to all the club members who made the trip over to the New Forest to support Hugh and the other club runners.
