Dear fellow runner,
As a current or previous entrant to the Gosport Half Marathon please find an update for this year’s race.
For those runners who haven’t entered, I’m delighted to say that over 1,850 runners have already registered for this year’s event. Our maximum entry is 2,000 and providing there are spaces, you can enter online until midday on Saturday 15th November. You may be able to enter on the day if there are still places available, however we cannot exceed our maximum entry, so if you intend to enter and to avoid disappointment, you should secure your entry before race day. All entries, including the Young People’s races can be made Here
Final race instructions will be sent the week preceding the event.

If you’ve achieved your challenge and completed the Great South Run then you’ve done the training and put in the hard work. In just a few more weeks the hard work you have done could achieve an even greater challenge – The Gosport Half Marathon!
Other key points to note are:
- Medal and Goodie Bag for all finishers (maybe a surprise 40th Anniversary retro gift!).
- Two junior events – Medal/Goodie Bag/Winners prizes/Digitally recorded/£500 to school or club with largest entry. Refer to website further information.
- Early mass warm up for Young People and later for main event runners.
- Hot drinks/Snacks available inside Community Sports Hall and commercial food outlets outside the Hall.
- Free before and after massage.
- Race Photographer
- Free Car parking for Browndown Road Car Park. (Four-minute walk to Race HQ).

Oh, gather ye runners from near and afar,
To Gosport we summon you – yes, there you are!
On November the 16th, lace up with pride,
For 13.1 miles of seaside and stride.
The course is quite flat (no hill-based despair),
But beware of the wind – it messes your hair.
You’ll sweat, you’ll swear, you’ll question your choices,
Then finish and weep with the loudest of voices.
So, sign up today, don’t leave it too late,
Or you’ll miss out on glory – and that shiny race plate.
